About

Have you watched every decorating show and still can’t get your living room to look the way you’d like? Decorators on TV show you a before picture (hideous) and an after picture (gorgeous). But they rarely address the 1,000 little decisions that happen between before and after.

This is where I can step in and help you!

About Doug Walker

Hi, I’m Doug Walker. When I was seven years old, my mom took me to my very first decorators’ show home. From the moment I walked in the door, I was hooked. I loved the furniture and the accessories, the colors and textures, the chandeliers and the rugs.

So naturally I got a degree in engineering. (?!?) Although this may seem completely unrelated to decorating, in school I learned how to break complex problems down into their component parts and how to explain complicated issue to non-technical people. Along the way, I was also figuring out how to solve and explain decor problems in practical language that friends and relatives could easily apply to their homes.
